Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices

For the week of October 2, Nebraska's average gasoline price decreased one cent per gallon from the previous week to $2.25, which was 66 cents lower than the price at this time last year. This week, average prices in surveyed cities ranged from $2.08 in Columbus to $2.35 in North Platte. As of September 29, the Midwest gasoline stock level was just above the normal range with 53.3 million barrels.

Nebraska's average diesel price declined five cents to $2.58 per gallon. According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 50 cents lower than the price at this time last year. Weekly averages in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.52 in Norfolk to $2.63 in Kearney. On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was above the normal range with 27.2 million barrels of diesel fuel as of September 29.

Regular unleaded gasoline is regular unleaded motor gasoline with an 87 to 88 octane. Diesel fuel is fuel used for internal combustion in diesel engines.
