For the week of July 10, Nebraska's average gasoline price rose two cents per gallon from the previous week to $2.94, which was 72 cents higher than the price at this time last year. Weekly average prices in surveyed cities ranged from $2.90 in Omaha to $3.00 in Grand Island and Kearney. As of July 7, the Midwest gasoline stock level was at the bottom boundary of the normal range with 51.4 million barrels.
Nebraska's average diesel price increased four cents to $3.06 per gallon. According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 69 cents higher than the price at this time last year. Weekly averages in the surveyed cities ranged from $3.02 in Columbus, Norfolk, and Omaha to $3.09 in Kearney. On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was below the normal range with 22.6 million barrels of diesel fuel as of July 7.
Regular unleaded gasoline is regular unleaded motor gasoline with an 87 to 88 octane. Diesel fuel is fuel used for internal combustion in diesel engines.
