Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices
For the week of June 12, Nebraska's average gasoline price rose two cents per gallon from the previous week to $2.82, which was 68 cents higher than the price at this time last year. Weekly average prices in surveyed cities ranged from $2.77 in Columbus to $2.86 in Kearney and North Platte. As of June 9, the Midwest gasoline stock level was in the normal range with 51.9 million barrels.
Nebraska's average diesel price increased four cents to $2.94 per gallon. According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 64 cents higher than the price at this time last year. Weekly averages in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.90 in Omaha to $2.97 in Kearney. Kearney's average price hit $3.00 on Friday. On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was below the normal range with 21.5 million barrels of diesel fuel as of June 9.
Regular unleaded gasoline is regular unleaded motor gasoline with an 87 to 88 octane. Diesel fuel is fuel used for internal combustion in diesel engines.
