Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices

Nebraska's average gasoline price fell three cents per gallon from last week to $2.12, which is 19 cents higher than the price at this time last year but $1.08 lower than the recorded high of $3.20 on September 6.  Gasoline prices have fallen over the last several weeks as gasoline supplies have increased and demand went into its usual seasonal decline.  According to the Energy Information Administration, wholesale prices suggest that retail gasoline prices may fall a little more over the next two weeks.  Weekly average prices in surveyed cities ranged from $2.00 in Grand Island to $2.12 in Lincoln.  As of November 25, the Midwest gasoline stock level was in the upper region of the normal range with 51.6 million barrels.

Nebraska's average diesel price decreased four cents per gallon from last week to $2.47.  This price was 90 cents lower than the recorded high of $3.37 on October 22.  According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 35 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly averages in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.38 in Lincoln to $2.50 in Kearney and Omaha.  On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level remained below the normal range with 18.8 million barrels of diesel fuel as of November 25.

Regular unleaded gasoline is regular unleaded motor gasoline with an 87 to 88 octane.  Diesel fuel is fuel used for internal combustion in diesel engines.
