Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices

Nebraska's retail gasoline price decreased a penny from last week to $2.31.  Price records were broken in Kearney and Norfolk this week with metro prices ranging from $2.24 in Columbus to $2.34 in Grand Island, Kearney, and Lincoln.  The state average was 39 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  This week, the Midwest Region saw the largest regional decline of 4.8 cents.  As of July 15, the Midwest gasoline stock level was at the bottom of the normal range with 50.7 million barrels.

Nebraska's diesel average fell 2 cents from last week to reach $2.42 per gallon.  Diesel price records were broken in Columbus and Kearney this week with metro prices ranging from $2.38 in Columbus and Norfolk to $2.46 in Kearney.  According to the weekly price r eport, this week's state average is 64 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was at the upper boundary of the normal range with 23.4 million barrels as of July 15.
