Nebraska's retail gasoline price fell a
penny from last week to $1.75 which was 18% higher than at the beginning of last
year. Metro prices ranged from $1.68 in Columbus to $1.77 in Grand Island and
Kearney. The Midwest gasoline stock level increased dramatically and rose above
the normal range.
The state average retail diesel price fell 3 cents from last week to $1.95 per gallon
which was 26% higher than at the beginning of 2004. Nebraska's metro diesel prices
ranged from $1.86 in Columbus to $1.97 in Kearney. The Midwest distillate fuel
inventory level increased for the fourth consecutive week but remains below the normal range.
