Nebraska Builder Wins U.S. Department of Energy Housing Innovation Award

The U.S. Department of Energy presented the 2015 Housing Innovation Awards to 24 industry leaders at the Energy and Environmental Building Alliance's Conference in Denver, Colorado. This distinguished recognition is being provided to 27 winning DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes, where the awards showcase the very best in business excellence required to deliver high-performance homes.

A Nebraska Builder from Elkhorn, Nebraska won an award for energy efficiency innovations in custom homes. A Builder's Profile highlights the high efficiency features of the home. This home uses only 48 percent of the energy that a standard new home uses. The Builders Profile performance data lists annual energy savings and dollar savings.
