Nebraska Energy Office Solicits Advanced Renewable Energy Project Ideas for $5 Million in Grant Funds The Nebraska Energy Office is offering funding opportunities for Nebraskans to apply for up to $5 million in grants for Advanced Renewable Energy Projects under the State Energy Program’s plan for use of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds... Advanced Renewable Energy Project Grant Solicitation Questions and Answers 2.5% Dollar and Energy Saving Loans Now Available for Energy Efficiency Projects up to $750,000 On August 19, 2009, the Nebraska Energy Office announced the availability of 2.5% Dollar and Energy Saving loans of up to $750,000 for commercial and industrial – including educational – sector energy efficiency building improvements. The $11 million in funds for these loans comes from a portion of the $30.9 million received by Nebraska under the State Energy Program in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Income Guidelines Rise… State Weatherization Program to Receive More than $41.6 Million In June 2009, Nebraska received a total of $41,644,458 for three years under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to provide free home weatherization services such as insulation and furnace replacements for eligible Nebraskans. Up to $75,000... 2.5% Dollar and Energy Saving Loans for Wind, Solar and Fuel Cell Projects Nebraskans may now apply for low interest loans to purchase new wind, solar and fuel cell equipment. Applications are being accepted for purchase and installation of complete fuel cell, wind, solar hot water or photovoltaic systems. Projects may include all equipment, labor and other installation costs. Loan limits, except for solar hot water systems, are $14,000 for the first kW on systems 10 kW and smaller, $21,000 for the first kW on systems larger than 10 kW, to include grid tie equipment.... NPPD Customers are Eligible for 2.5% Loans for Heat Pumps Beginning April 1, 2009, 2.5% Dollar and Energy Saving Loans became available `to customers in the Nebraska Public Power District’s service areas who are Nebraska residents and will be making the qualifying improvements on property located in Nebraska. Customers may apply for a 2.5% Dollar and Energy Saving Loan through Nebraska lenders for air source and ground water or ground coupled heat pumps... Federal Tax Credit Program Will Increase Economic Development, Promote Manufacturing of Clean Energy Equipment... U.S. Department of Energy Announces More Than $2 Billion in Recovery Act Tax Credits for Energy Manufacturers August 13, 2009, the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Department of the Treasury announced a program to award $2.3 billion in tax credits for manufacturers of advanced energy equipment. Authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, this new program will provide tax credits to manufacturers who produce clean energy equipment...
