2.5% Dollar and Energy Saving Loans Now Available for Energy Efficiency Projects up to $750,000
On August 19, 2009, the Nebraska Energy Office announced the availability of 2.5% Dollar and Energy Saving loans of up to $750,000 for commercial and industrial – including educational – sector energy efficiency building improvements. The $11 million in funds for these loans comes from a portion of the $30.9 million received by Nebraska under the State Energy Program in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

2.5% Dollar and Energy Saving Loans for Wind, Solar and Fuel Cell Projects
Nebraskans may now apply for low interest loans to purchase new wind, solar and fuel cell equipment. Applications are being accepted for purchase and installation of complete fuel cell, wind, solar hot water or photovoltaic systems. Projects may include all equipment, labor and other installation costs. Loan limits, except for solar hot water systems, are $14,000 for the first kW on systems 10 kW and smaller, $21,000 for the first kW on systems larger than 10 kW, to include grid tie equipment....

Second Annual Wind Conference Comes to Kearney
The Nebraska Wind Working Group will host the second annual Wind Power Conference at the Kearney Holiday Inn and Convention Center November 9-10, 2009. Q: I was wondering if industrial technologies such as variable frequency drives qualify for and Dollar and Energy Saving Loan? We have a range of clients that should be retrofitting their equipment with this technology, however the capital equipment outlay is an obvious road block. Most of the projects we encounter would have a payback period of between 2 and 7 years...
