Energy Prices and Long-Range Weather Forecasts

Nebraska’s current energy prices and seasonal weather outlooks are now available on the Energy Office’s web site at Nebraska Energy Statistics

• Prices can be viewed for on-highway diesel fuel, gasoline, natural gas, heating oil, and propane.
• Daily averages for on-highway diesel fuel prices and regular unleaded, mid-grade, and premium gasoline prices are compared to historical prices for the state and for the cities of Grand Island, Lincoln, Norfolk, North Platte, and Omaha. This information is based on AAA Nebraska surveys.
• A link to an Energy Information Administration web site provides the weekly status of natural gas in the nation.
• The weekly average heating oil and propane prices are the result of the Nebraska Energy Office’s participation in the Energy Information Administration’s State Heating Oil and Propane Program (SHOPP).
• The link leads to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s web site to view seasonal outlooks from 15 days to a year ahead.
