Natural Gas Service Providers and
Their Prices in Nebraska

2007

In 2007, the residential sector paid an average of $11.15 (including taxes) per thousand cubic feet for natural gas, the commercial sector paid $9.16, the industrial sector paid $7.97, and the electric power sector paid $8.97.

The state's natural gas was supplied by nineteen companies whose average 2007 residential rates ranged from Hastings Utilities' $6.85 to the City of Stromsburg's $17.48 per thousand cubic feet.  Commercial rates ranged from Hastings Utilities' $7.76 to the City of Stromsburg's $14.01.  Rates for natural gas used by electric utilities ranged from Stuart Gas Company's $1.66 to City of Wahoo's $10.21.  Industrial rates ranged from the City of Wisner's $4.66 to the City of Superior's $12.69.
